EMMA for Peace partner of the World’s Largest Music Competition for Peace

EMMA for Peace is proud to be partner of MasterPeace for the World’s Largest Music Competition for Peace!

MasterPeace invites musicians to join world’s largest music competition for peace, using their music with a cause for winning the chance to perform at Europe’s largest music festival!

The competition mobilized professional and up & coming artists submitting over 200 songs from more than 68 countries, joining with songs of peace, togetherness, tolerance, change and positivity bringing these most needed values with the power of art and music and partnership with strongest names in the music world!

Paolo Petrocelli, Founder and President of EMMA for Peace, will serve as a member of the jury for the final selection of the best song, along with Grammy Award-Winning Composer and Producer, Ricky Kej, and the South Sudanese musician, actor, former child soldier, and political activist, Emmanuel Jal.

In the evening of June 20thEMMA for Peace organized a concert at the EESC, demonstrating how music can become a global instrument of dialogue, understanding and peace-building, with a performance by the Damascus String Quintet  of the Syrian Expat Philharmonic Orchestra – SEPO.

EMMA for Peace in UAE

Official launching event in the UAE of EMMA for Peace at the Nobel Museum in Dubai, in collaboration with Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation.
Paolo Petrocelli,Founder and President of the Euro-Mediterranean Music Academy for Peace, appointed Khaled Habeeb AlAttar as a member of the international executive board and the Middle East regional director of EMMA for Peace, while Adeeb Albalooshi was appointed as the international ambassador of Education and Peace of EMMA for Peace, during the official inauguration ceremony attended by His Excellency Liborio Stellino, the Ambassador of Italy to United Arab Emirates.

Piano Recital with Elisso Bolkvadze

The Pharos Arts Foundation, in collaboration with EMMA for Peace, presents a recital with the remarkable Georgian pianist Elisso Bolkvadze. A superstar in her home country, Elisso was awarded the “Medal of Georgian Government” – one of the most prestigious national honours. She has won numerous international piano competitions such as Van Cliburn Competition (USA), Vianna da Motta (Lisbon), Axa International Piano Competition (Dublin), Marguerite Long Competition (Paris) and she is regularly invited to perform with the world’s most renowned orchestras. A UNESCO Artist For Peace, she has become the first Georgian personality to hold this prestigious title, and she has recently received the prestigious distinction of Chevalier des Arts et Lettres by the French government. For her recital in Cyprus, which will take place on Wednesday 13 April 2016 at The Shoe Factory, Nicosia / 8:30pm, Elisso Bolkvadze will perform works by Schubert, Chopin, Debussy and Prokofiev.

Music Diplomacy in Vietnam

Paolo Petrocelli, Founder and President of EMMA for Peace, will give a talk on “Music and Diplomacy” at the Hanoi University on February 29th at 9.30 am and at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities of Ho Chi Minh City  on March 1st at 9.00 am.

Special guest: young Italian soprano Angela Nisi.
